I am sometimes asked “I can learn most of what your group teaches from a book or the internet. Why should I leave my nice warm house to attend a class and / or circle?”

I would rephrase the question, were I asking it myself, as "What is the importance of fellowship on the Pagan path?"

In order to understand the importance of fellowship, we must first understand what fellowship is. The Greek words traditionally translated into “fellowship” mean essentially a partnership to the mutual benefit of those involved. Spiritual fellowship, then, is the mutually beneficial relationship between like-minded seekers, who don’t have an identical relationship with those outside their beliefs.

The importance of true fellowship is that it reinforces these things in our mind and helps us to focus on our true path, our purpose in existence. As iron sharpens iron, in true fellowship we sharpen one another's faith and stir one another to exercise that faith in love and good works, to everyone’s benefit.

This weeks' class is "Auras"

The term Aura refers to the energy field emanating from the surface of a person or object. This emanation is visualized as an outline of cascading color and may be held to represent soul vibrations, chakra emergence, or a reflection of surrounding energy fields. Each color represents a different aspect of that matter. Reading auras can be useful in helping you interact with the world. Everything has an aura but we have been "trained" not to see them. This class focuses on stimulating the chakras, which are responsible for the ability to “read” auras. With practice, they will grow in strength, and viewing auras will become progressively easier to do.

Class starts at 6PM with Open Circle to follow, we will be celebrating IMBOLC at circle this evening!
