Merry Meet and Bright Blessings!
The MoonPool Coven was started over 10 years ago by a group of friends
who were looking to explore their spirituality together. We follow the
by-laws established by the original founders. Our mission is very
similar to that of the UUCH, "To assist each member in their spiritual
growth". Our members follow many different "Earth-Based" traditions
and our rituals reflect this diversity.
Early in 2008 we moved from the UU Church in Billerica Ma to Haverhill
and have been overwhelmed with the support and encouragement we have
received.
Our twice monthly Open Circles have expanded to include class work for
those looking to learn more. Classes usually begin at 6 PM with the
Circle starting at 7 PM, usually on Sunday evenings. Traditional Pagan
Holidays are observed including Yule (Winter Solstice), Imbolc (Ground
Hog day), Ostara (Easter) Lughnasadh (First Harvest) and Samhain
(Halloween). Our services hearken back to an earlier time, when people
were more in tune with the Earth and her changing cycles. Our beliefs
reflect natural laws that existed long before formalized religions and
still exist today.
In past years we have participated in events sponsored by other local
covens, supported Pagan Pride Days in both Ma and NH, and recently
enjoyed our first Midsummer cookout. We look forward to even more
participation as we go forward. Everyone is always welcome to attend.

To facilitate organization, new dedicants are taken in once a year, usually in the spring. Exceptions can be made if there are sufficient numbers of new dedicants wishing to begin their training. The first step is to join the mailing list on Google-Groups and take part in the discussions. When there is an Open House or Open Circle coming up the announcement will be made to this list. Qualities we are looking for in dedicants are:
- Trust - Everyone has issues, thats O.K. Not everyone has learned to trust others, thats O.K. too. To participate in the inner coven, however, there must be a certain level of trust that hopefully you are willing to extend; It will be reciprocated
- Patience - As stated, we open our doors generally once a year. Through the years we have met many wonderful people who came to understand it just wasnt the right time for them. Taking the time to reflect on your choices will help you identify if this is the right group at the right time for you. You are welcome to remain a member of the e-group as long as you wish.
As the saying goes - "a Reason, a Season, or a Life Time!"
- Servitude - As a community, everyone is expected to serve each other, in whatever way their individual talents allow
- Humility - "Well established personalities" are always welcome, as long as humility is part of that personality; A wise person learns more from a fool than fools learn from the wise
- Coachability - This goes hand-in-hand with Trust; We are willing to extend our hand in friendship, to guide you and also learn from you on our shared path. Are you ready to accept it?
