The MoonPool Coven was started almost 10 years ago by a group of friends who were looking to explore their spirituality together. Some of the original members have moved away and started new branches of MoonPool. This particular coven is located primarily North of Boston. We follow the by-laws established by the original founders.
- There are 2 levels, the outer coven and the inner coven.
- You can become a member of the outer coven by attending classes as a dedicant for 6 months
- After your first 6 months you become an initiate.
- If after a year and a day you wish, you can petition the for acceptance as a member (inner circle)
- Levels are only assigned like this to help organize training, they are NOT an indication of hierachy; Everyone learns from everyone else
- All members initiate and above are required to assist with the working of the Coven including teaching and volunteering in service activities.
- We do not charge for anything. If the group wishes to participate in some activity that involves a money, it will be up to the participating members as to how funds can be raised.
- We do not follow a specific tradition; our rituals are designed around the interest of the participants
To facilitate organization, new dedicants are taken in once a year, usually in the spring. Exceptions can be made if there are sufficient numbers of new dedicants wishing to begin their training. The first step is to join the mailing list on Google-Groups and take part in the discussions. When there is an Open House or Open Circle coming up the announcement will be made to this list. Qualities we are looking for in dedicants are:
- Trust - Everyone has issues, thats O.K. Not everyone has learned to trust others, thats O.K. too. To participate in the inner coven, however, there must be a certain level of trust that hopefully you are willing to extend; It will be reciprocated
- Patience - As stated, we open our doors generally once a year. Through the years we have met many wonderful people who came to understand it just wasnt the right time for them. Taking the time to reflect on your choices will help you identify if this is the right group at the right time for you. You are welcome to remain a member of the e-group as long as you wish.
As the saying goes - "a Reason, a Season, or a Life Time!"
- Servitude - As a community, everyone is expected to serve each other, in whatever way their individual talents allow
- Humility - "Well established personalities" are always welcome, as long as humility is part of that personality; A wise person learns more from a fool than fools learn from the wise
- Coachability - This goes hand-in-hand with Trust; We are willing to extend our hand in friendship, to guide you and also learn from you on our shared path. Are you ready to accept it?
